Mini Cheese Cave

One of my friends has graciously donated a small wine cooler to me. It will be perfect to age blue cheese types, which must be separated from other cheese lest everything get a blue mold!

Now I'm excited to start some Stilton, and look through my cheese recipes to see what else I can make with what cultures I have on hand.

  1. I just today found your blog. I have been reading and reading and just loving it. Its interesting, informative and an excellent guide for learning. I even told a few friends about it. I've spent a lot of time learning pioneer skills and ways of surviving in hard times. Now my husband and I are starting a homestead from scratch. I just recently started my blog to document our journey (only two post so far). Anyways, you keep blogging and I'll sure keep reading it. Anna

  2. Thanks Anna, and Welcome anytime!

It's a great journey despite the bumps... and it's always nice to know we are not alone in our goals and desires.

  4. Thanks... I'm excited too! One of my first will be a white Stilton with a bit of candied ginger, plus a blue Stilton. :)
